We are happy to present the next exciting topic and film of our ESR Justin Benavidez.
His research focusses on the history of knowledge through the writings of Muhammad al-Qurtubi, from the city of Cordoba. The writings of al-Qurtubi (d. 1273), in particular his commentary of the Qur'an, offer insight into the ways in which ideas about religious knowledge were read, shared, and integrated into mainstream Islamic thought.
