Kick-off meeting Granada

The kick-off meeting has been held at Las Casas de La Mimbre, in Granada (Spain) the 23rd of March 2019 (9:30 am - 6:30 pm), thanks to the collaboration with the Patronato de la Alhambra y Generalife (Junta de Andalucía).



It was attended by the Coordination Team and the Supervisory Board (Beneficiaries and. Partner Organisations), in order to ensure efficient communication between MIDA partners and to keep them informed about the legal and financial rules of the Research Executive Agency in the European Training Network management.


The meeting has been focused on:

MIDA Website and Communication, strategy, vacancies, recruitment procedure and Network, selection Committee, Task Groups, time schedule.

All the Consortium and Partner Organisations are committed in publishing the vacancies internationally, as widely as they can, following an equal, merit-based recruitment procedure, in agreement with the Code of Conduct for the Recruitment of Researchers to ensure competitive international recruitment and promote equal opportunity.



Task Groups


Another aim of the kick-off meeting was the creation and composition of three task groups, each one related to:


Ethics and Gender task group

This task group is composed by three members of the SB: Prof. Karin van Nieuwkerk, Dr. Araceli Gonzalez and Dr. Jens Heibach.

It is in charge of monitoring any risk of scientific misconduct and the effective implementation of the gender recommendations in the recruitment process and throughout the project.


Conflict and Resolution task group

This task group is composed by the PM (Giulia Galluccio) and three other SB members: Prof. Petra de Bruijn, Prof. Gerard Wiegers, and Prof. Umar Ryad.

A group in which the ESRs will have the possibility to refer to this group in case of conflict with one of their supervisors (the Advisory Board acting as a last resort).


Organisation Training task group

It is composed by three non-academic Partners: Mr. Montaser Marai, Mrs. Nicolette van der Hoek, and Mrs. Aida Mia Alic.

It is created for managing cultural differences between academic and non- academic participants, and for special follow up of corresponding network-wide training events and secondments.
